Poetry
Life, and all it contains, is something you need to learn how to work with, not against. The more we jump, and clear, those hurdles life throws at us, the better we will get at it. We make it through tough times — not around them. It’s a part of ow we evolve as humans. This poetry collection is both a celebration, and an obstacle course, of how I learned to become a stronger person… the act of creation helping me to evolve on a daily basis, while using art to explore, and understand, the world I’m living in.
There are 103 poems of varying length in this collection.
This collection is available in an ePub and PDF here, on Armida Warrior, and over on Etsy as a zip file, containing both versions. Available to read on all eReaders, including computer reading apps, smartphones, and tablets. You can print out the PDF to read in hard copy.
Flee Setting Sun
flee the freed
sunlit grass, soaking
toes with dew
crunching in blades
I stand, in
mourning, watching
the sun rise
until it
sets
Skin Dollars
pickpocketing a person, numbers
dwindle down to zero
don’t you feel the dollars
in my arms, a skin suit
stuffed with cash?
slice my back open, amongst
the spine, a special promise
to erase time
is the cash enough
for you?
Wringing Wrist
memories scribbled
on your wrist
forget me
to remember me
forget us
to remember us
handwriting scribbled
on the inside of your wrist
my camouflage
mind, taking our love
wringing out when
wet, drowning in memories
we will wake, and
reality
will be real
Lips For Profit
profit parts
the lips
singing loud, but
not well
each knot a bell, cast
overhead
match
the octave
match
the syllables
it’s
dinnertime
