Cacophony

Making noise used to be just a dream.

When I was a kid, I started writing lyrics, playing guitar, and yelling passionately, albeit terribly. Now, I have a trained voice, and no means to allow it to explode. Instead, I record sessions of improv piano, getting better each time I sit down, and make noise in Garageband.

My dream of banging out on guitar got replaced with what I like to call, ‘Industrial Classical’, as I finger the piano. My dream of making rock music got replaced with making electro-industrial. Still, that doesn’t mean it’s not noise. Still, that doesn’t mean that someday I won’t have the means to a recording studio. Still, I am living my dream, in a way that it can actually be lived.

I love making a cacophony. I love the idea of dystopic sounds getting under the skin, the way a good horror story gets under the skin. Whether it’s my piano, recorded in a basement, or electro-industrial, created in free music software… making a cacophony is something I’m able to do, and I’ll do it.

Making noise used to be just a dream, and I might have had to tweak that dream, but at least I’m living it.

I hope you find my music haunting, skin-biting, and dystopic.

Have fun and meander!
