Poetry

I always start with a title. This time, however, I didn’t know what to name my new collection. Instead, I’d titled it, Working Title, and never updated it. No matter how long I was writing, or how many poems were added, there was no name that fit this collection better than the one it already had. These pieces of poetry started being written around the time Armida Warrior got a facelift and started morphing into every medium, rather than only horror stories and verse. I kept this name because this was its era: my new beginning. Some of these titles romance my work, while others discuss my mindset finding what I wanted to do, and what I wanted to be. Each and every one, like always, is a bit of word vomit. Collecting it in, Working Title, was my way of welcoming in this new era.

The collection itself is of an 102-poem length exploring where my mind was, and where it came from, as Armida Warrior became a multi-medium dream.

This collection is available in an ePub and PDF on Armida Warrior and Etsy as a zip file, containing both versions.  Available to read on all eReaders, including computer reading apps, smartphones, and tablets.

Clouds Tick

clouds tick by

the hands on a

clock, shapes

of a mind

ready, set, already

fought

clouds remain

bubbles in the

mind

awaiting skin

and bones

awaiting its

own kind

Letting Go Girl

letting a girl down

without using words

pretending pretty

promises

lend a hand in

throwing her onto

grounds

cement in her knees

blood on her palms

throwing her into

what has never begun

Wrists And Ankles

chains around wrists

shackles around ankles

twist and twist

wrists tied in knots

hoping death is soon

for struggling to breathe

into this red balloon

creates more dust

more sleet

more snow

inside of a mind

forever lost

below

Bubbling Brains

pressure bubbling over

a boiling cauldron of soup

sickening cheddar and beer

sometimes broccoli and whiskey

tumbling over in bubbles,

bubbling over with bubbles

a teaching moment to all

who ever wondered

what to eat

when their mind

is

brain

mush

stew
