Every time I sit down to make music, I ask myself, “What is this chapter going to sound like for the story I’m trying to tell?” Each album, whether an LP or an EP, has its own question behind the story. I think of my albums as soundtracks to stories that haven’t been written the old-fashioned way. It hasn’t been typed up, no words to use other than musical notes, and is bred and born in a music creation application. What I love about Afterlife is the fact that every being can enter this mode of death and become ghosts of themselves or each other, but it’s the title of these songs that depict the truth behind its story. As you listen, I hope you enter into these characters’s worlds, a man and a woman, and the idea that you can haunt whoever wrongs you, whether you mean to or not.
