When writing this album, the image of a goldfish in a large tank kept crossing my mind. If you know anything about goldfish, they tend to grow as large as whatever home they’re in. This tank in my mind was gigantic, coupled with a gigantic goldfish. I started thinking about what it’s like feeling like I’m from a small town, but also feeling like I have dreams that most likely would never come true. Using that as inspiration to make those dreams come true, this album was born. It’s a dreamscape of dystopian sounds and noise, purposefully getting under your skin to tell a story.
