Painting

Throwing a slap or coat of paint on a canvas until the work is done might look like what I do. My style is very much abstract. Only sometimes do I aim to create an actual figure. Other times, my brush does the talking, and comes up with completely abstract ideas and images. There are polka dots. There are stripes. There is anything that looks like odd shapes, but my favorite shapes happen to be circles.

I’m always looking for new ways to paint, new ways to blend colors, new ways to do things. It’s one of the reasons why my goal in life is to become good — or excellent — at every medium. It’s evolution of both the personal self and generational selves. If I learn how to do all of the arts, then the rest of my arts will follow. Each one will improve based on skills I’ve learned doing other projects, other mediums, and other genres.

Throwing a slap or coat of paint on a canvas is both easy and difficult because anyone can make work that looks like anyone can make it, and that’s definitely what my paintings look like. What’s nice, is the ability to share them as my abilities continue to grow. It’s a journey.

Everything is a journey…

… and, it’s one I’d love to bring you on with me.
