This collection is filled with poems about someone who doesn’t exist, or hasn’t existed. It’s a collection about love, romance, and an imaginary path to freedom. To me, love is about the story behind having that love, and, sometimes, when you’re alone, it’s okay to fantasize. Not all of these are about romance, but about the story behind how I found, or want to find, that romance. They’re in order of when they were written, and each one, like always, is word vomit. When editing, I only edited for grammar and typos. Some grammatical errors are warranted, like when they apply or help further the poem. It’s the same for the typos. Capacious Mouth is named this because ‘capacious’ applies to a ‘large and empty space’, such as a mouth that refuses to settle.
The collection itself is of an 89-poem length spanning different ideas, troubles, issues, and excerpts exploring this romance, and the obstacles that get in the way.
