I will never believe in burning books. I will start off this description of this poster art with that firm belief of mine. Books show us history of thought, but also give us ways to protect our minds and our thoughts by making them live, breathe, and come alive in a way that only characters, a plot, and plot devices can. As a writer, erasing books is the idea that we must erase rational thought in order to control rational thought. That removes the idea of freedom of expression from our daily lives. Humanity is what makes books human. I will never believe in burning books, burning thought, and burning history, and this poster art celebrates this idea, which is certainly not a new idea… but an important one to remember.
