Horripilate is a short story collection that raises the hairs on your arms and the back of your neck. Each story, a venture into the human mind, exploring what is there, should be there, and what isn’t there. Most, of a nature delving into different types of psychosis for each character. There are almost no reliable narrators here, most of them being told by those with psychosis. The ideas in these stories create them to either be seemingly straightforward tales… or one that is so abstract they take mulling over. A professor who lost their job, a dog who’s dying from abandonment, and a human being waking up underground in a room with no doors or windows, are only some of the stories explored. Horripilate will leave you with unease, and with unanswered questions about the universe we live in.
