Poetry
Sometimes, I act as my own shadow, and I follow myself even when I don’t know where I’m going. It might take a while to get there, but following myself is the biggest act of humanity I could do. It shows me that I love who I am, and I love to lead myself into who I could be. No matter who that person is, it needs to be my idea, and I need to allow it to be my idea. Many a time, all I ask is to be allowed to exist.
This poetry collection, of 98 poems, is very much about asking the universe to allow me to exist in a time when I felt invisible, and fought to be seen.
This collection is available in an ePub and PDF on Armida Warrior and Etsy as a zip file, containing both versions. Available to read on all eReaders, including computer reading apps, smartphones, and tablets.
dinner?
leading the pack
with my nose, I smell
better than anyone
bones between
my teeth
dinner?
I will find
you
Muse Truth
forgotten muse beneath
my tongue, admitting a
drink for you to swallow,
but you gag and you cry
words, too
much
truth, an obstacle
to deny, and
you waste the drink,
trying
to
find it
cobwebs
memories forget themselves
in a cabinet of cobwebs, held
in time by a lock with no
key, sunlight forgets to light
a
match, my
mind never being
free
of memories without
cobwebs, and clutter
long forgotten, I find
myself thinking
at
night
Lidded Dreams
dribble drips from
the corner of my lips
long forgotten dreams
live behind my eyelids
I watch, losing
dreams in my sleep
how much to learn
to sleep while awake, a
promise to
myself
I will break
more than I
will make
