Sometimes, I act as my own shadow, and I follow myself even when I don’t know where I’m going. It might take a while to get there, but following myself is the biggest act of humanity I could do. It shows me that I love who I am, and I love to lead myself into who I could be. No matter who that person is, it needs to be my idea, and I need to allow it to be my idea. Many a time, all I ask is to be allowed to exist. This poetry collection is very much about asking the universe to allow me to exist in a time when I felt invisible, and fought to be seen.
