Pinning A Hand Towel

For a while, it was utterly impossible to find a towel bar or shower rod. First of all, I’d need more of a hook. My bathroom is too small for anything bigger than that. Second, any hook I’d found just wasn’t my style, and wouldn’t look good in my bathroom. Yes, I could have used something utilitarian and boring, but what I came up with is much, much more becoming of the imagination. It occurred to me, that I could hang the towel from the wall with a push pin or thumb tack, and that I had one that would be the perfect accent for the hand towel I needed to hang. I found the more secure place in the wall, and punctured it through the towel, coming up with what happened below. This is much more my style, and, surprisingly, the towel doesn’t go anywhere. My idea worked, and I hope it works for you, too! Remember: don’t hang anything too heavy, or the tack will come out of the wall.

Supplies:

1 fancy push pin or thumb tack

1 light hand towel

Directions:

Take your push pin, or thumb tack, and pin the hand towel to the wall, halfway down the length of the hand towel, on the edge. Pull slightly to make sure it’s in a good spot in the wall, and that it won’t just fall down.
