Honey Sugar Popcorn

It was morning, and I was starving. I was so hungry that my body needed something quick, easy, and filling. Nutritional yeast provides protein, and the rest feels like something akin to sugary cereal, but with popcorn instead of cereal. This takes about ten minutes to make, and the little kid in you who grew up on that cereal should be happy, especially if you like lots of butter and popcorn better than a bowl full of milk. I hope you love this recipe as much as I did when my mind was happily surprised by how much it reminded me of the early morning cartoons I watched each day as a kid before school.

Ingredients:
Popcorn, popped with preferred method
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 stick butter,
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/8 cup honey
Pinch iodized salt
Directions:
Pop the popcorn. Add to large serving bowl. Sprinkle on the yeast a little bit at a time, while turning the bowl and tossing the popcorn with a fork as you sprinkle it.
Cube the butter. Plop into a microwave mug. Melt in the microwave in a minute and fifteen seconds. If the butter hasn’t fully melted yet, whisk with a fork until clumps are gone. Add the sugar, honey, and salt. Whisk with fork until fully incorporated. Microwave in the microwave for another thirty seconds. Remove from microwave promptly and stir with fork again, to make sure all clumps are gone. Drizzle over popcorn, a little bit at a time and tossing it in between drizzling.
Serving Suggestions:
Hot cocoa, oat milk, English breakfast tea.
