Sticky Toffee Nuts

This recipe comes out a lot like a brittle, but is mostly nuts. They’re sticky, they’re crunchy, and have all of the excellent qualities of a brittle, but because it’s mostly nuts, the caramelization coats them completely. You may find yourself chomping on large chunks of the stuff. In fact, I hope you do. If you love, love, love brittle, and only have nuts and maple syrup and honey around, I’m pretty sure you’ll like this recipe. It’s easy to make, and something sweet for when you have a craving. I hope you love this recipe as much as I loved developing it.

Ingredients:
1 handful raw walnuts
1 handful roasted & salted almonds
Real maple syrup to coat
Raw & unfiltered honey to coat
Pinch of iodized salt
Directions:
Preheat toaster oven or oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl, add both types of nuts. Pour in maple syrup, enough to cat. Pour in honey, also enough to coat. Mix the sugars into the nuts, fully coating each morsel. Add a pinch or two of salt. Stir in using a metal fork. Pour ingredients into shallow baking tin, and slide into oven once oven is done preheating. Roast the nuts in the oven or toast oven for about twenty minutes. Once finished, let set on a plate. Scrape off plate into bowl once set. Break into chunks to consume by hand. Consume within the day.
Serving Suggestion:
Bourbon, classic gin martini, cinnamon water
