Whether you eat this recipe as a snack, dessert, or breakfast, there’s something fulfilling about sprinkling crunchy sugar on crisp berries, and adding the extra sweetness of a little honey. If it takes you a little bit to eat, as it takes me, you’ll have honey and sugar on the bottom of the bowl, which is satisfying to scrape the little morsels of berry in. Raspberries and blackberries you can leave alone, but wheels of strawberries lie open in wait for the sugar. Each type of morsel has its own crunch, its own texture, and its own flavor, and I hope they taste just as good to you, as you scrape them in the bottom of the bowl, as they do to me.

Ingredients:
Handful of blackberries
Handful of raspberries
2 large strawberries, sliced and hulled
1 tablespoon of turbinado sugar, plus more for sprinkling
Drizzle of raw & unfiltered honey
Sprinkling of chia seeds
Directions:
Plop blackberries and raspberries in small bowl. Slice the two strawberries. Discard the tops and leaves. Toss into bowl. Sprinkle one tablespoon of turbinado sugar all over berries. Toss berries in sugar. Sprinkle more turbinado sugar on top. Drizzle the honey all over berries. Sprinkle in chia seeds. Enjoy immediately.
Serving Suggestions:
Lemonade, horchata, hot chai.
