This isn’t quite French Toast. You’re not coating it with a batter. All you’re doing is dredging it in sugar, egg, and a little bit of melted butter. There’s no milk involved and no flour. Other than that, this recipe is ridiculously simple to follow, and produces an outcome that is kind of like French Toast. Because this isn’t battered and fried, it’s more of a sweet toast. Whatever your morning is, or whatever your morning is like, I hope you enjoy this recipe. As most of the time, this is a single serving, which could be easily turned into multiple servings if you double or triple the recipe. The main reason why it’s a single serving was, because, most of the time, when I’m inventing something to eat, it’s my time to fill my stomach, and I’m only one person. I hope you guys find this recipe as enjoyable as I did when I came up with it.

Ingredients:
2 slices stale bread
2 pats butter
2 eggs
1/2 stick butter
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Pinch iodized salt
Directions:
Slice the butter into small pats. Melt the butter in the microwave for about a minute. Stir with a fork whatever butter is still solid, or only mostly melted. Set aside.
Crack two eggs into a small bowl. Whisk. Whisk in both types of sugar. Add in pinch of salt, and keep whisking.
Once the butter has started cooling off, which a little bit at a time into the sugar mixture, whisking nonstop so that the butter doesn’t make the eggs congeal. You only need about half of the butter.
Heat up a medium skillet on medium-high with the butter pats in it. Tilt the pan to coat it with the butter as the butter melts.
While you’re waiting for the skillet to heat up, dredge the first slice of bread with the sugar mixture, then add to the pan. Once that piece of is in the pan, dredge the second slice, and then fit it alongside the first piece in the pan.
Allow to cook until the undersides are fully set, and starting to brown, then flip both and allow to cook until that side is fully set. Slide off onto a plate and eat while still warm.
Serving Suggestions:
Chocolate milk, vanilla almond milk, black coffee.
