Cork Board Necklace Organizer

This is a super simple project. You’ve probably seen something similar elsewhere, but what really makes this DIY project is being able to paint or design your own art piece before you turn it into a necklace organizer. A lot of people head for metal peg boards, or they do what I did at my house…. They’ll ruin a door by studding it with push pins, and probably make whoever you’re living with super mad in the process. So, grab a giant cork board, or however big you want it (I like the bigger the better; you’ll always be collecting more jewelry), and decorate with sharpie and paint. Once dry and looking how you want it, just stud with push pins. Simple, easy, and it can look however you please!

I hope you have fun and meander through the other articles, projects, and writings here on Armida Warrior.

Supplies:

A large, plain, cork board

Sharpies, for decorating

Acrylic paint, for decorating

Paintbrushes, for decorating

Push pins of choice, color, shape, and design, enough to fill cork board

Ruler, or you can eyeball it

Baking soda (optional for painting frame)

Instructions:

With your large cork board, draw a design or paint a design on the cork part. Paint the frame by mixing paint with baking soda if you like. Decorate with sharpie or paint to your heart’s content. Mine used both sharpie and paint. Then, once dry, place the first push pin about a square inch in, then line each pin about an inch apart from each other. Fill the cork board with pins that are about an inch apart from each other in each column, and three inches apart in each row, once your paint or sharpie is fully dried. You can measure each push pin, or you can do what I did and eyeball it. Then, feel free to organize your necklaces all over it.
