Swapping Purse Straps

Whenever I purchase a purse, if its strap detaches, I store it separately. Each purse is an outfit accessory, and should be treated as a part of the outfit. I keep a drawer of everyday items that go in my purse, to make it easy to swap them on the daily. What’s nice about purse straps that detach is that now they’re usable for any other in your collection. Sometimes, they might be usable for other things, or as other things. Sometimes, they might be usable as jewelry, especially as necklaces. This is another reason to store them separately from the bags they belong to. It’s much easier to see what’s in your repertoire. Its’ much easier to imagine how they could be used when not stored with what they’re supposed to belong to.
Any strap can belong to any purse. If you believe different purses look good with different ones, then style them the way you believe they should be styled. This is what personal style is about: the creativity of the self. It’s why you can find purse straps sold separately from purses sold in stores and online.

People are looking for different ways to style the same things. The more ways, the better. This is the main argument for storing purse straps separately from purses. It allows you to see all of your options so you can figure out which strap with which bags, based on the outfit itself.
Utilizing which straps with which bag opens up styling options. The more options, the more fun you can have with your closet. Constantly be on the lookout for ways to broaden your arsenal. Forget the rules. Rules are a good way to narrow how you think. Allow yourself to swap straps from purse to purse. It’ll help you find other ways to broaden your styling capabilities.
Creativity has to start somewhere.
