The Five-Night Stay

There’s something to be said about whiskey that tastes like peanut butter. Over the several years since I’d first tasted Skrewball, I’d been trying to incorporate it into different cocktails. This one uses one other bourbon and a honey liquor. If you’re like me, and you hate cocktails that seem too frilly, here’s a good dessert without the frills. Five cocktail cherries sit at the bottom of the glass, soaking up the drink, and waiting to be consumed as a treat at the very end. I hope you love this recipe, even if you’re not like me, and do like frilly, sweet drinks.

Ingredients:
5 cocktail cherries, plus juice
2 parts Skrewball whiskey
1 part 1792 bourbon
1/2 part Barenjager honey liqueur
Directions:
Plop five cocktail cherries in the bottom of a large martini glass. Spoon in one bar spoonful of cocktail cherry juice.
In a mixing glass, add two large, square ice cubes. Add Skrewball, 1792, and Barenjager, in that order. Stir until glass is ice cold with back of bar spoon. Strain into martini glass.
Keep straight.
